February Newsletter

Dear SDP Families,

Happy February!

As we move through the winter season, our classrooms continue to be filled with learning, creativity, and meaningful moments of connection. February is a special month as we focus on kindness, friendships, and celebrating the diverse individuals who shape our community. Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Please take a moment to read below for this month’s themes, important dates, and upcoming updates.

February Themes: Throughout February, children will be exploring Valentine’s/Friendship Day, kindness and caring for others, understanding and expressing emotions, and winter sensory experiences. We will also acknowledge and celebrate Black History Month, learning about the importance of diversity, respect, and inclusion in age-appropriate ways. Through hands-on activities, play, and daily routines, children will continue building confidence, emotional awareness, and positive social skills. We will also continue practicing healthy habits such as hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and dressing appropriately for winter weather.
