June Newsletter

Dear SDP Families, Happy June!

As we welcome the start of summer, our classrooms are buzzing with excitement, exploration, and plenty of fun. June is always a special month as we celebrate growth, accomplishments, and the wonderful memories we’ve made throughout the school year. We look forward to enjoying more time outdoors, exploring nature, participating in hands-on activities, and celebrating some exciting milestones with our students and families.

Thank you for your continued support, partnership, and trust. Please take a moment to read below for this month’s themes, important dates, and reminders.

June Themes Throughout the month, children will explore themes such as:

• Summer begins

• Ocean and beach exploration

• Insects and nature discovery

• Father’s Day and family celebrations

• Outdoor play and water activities.

Through hands-on activities, creative play, and daily learning experiences, children will continue building confidence, independence, social skills, and a love for learning.

September Enrollment Reminder: A reminder was sent via email regarding September enrollment. If you have not already done so, please let us know by June 15th if your child will be returning for the upcoming school year. Summer Weather Reminder: As temperatures continue to rise, please help your child stay comfortable and prepared by sending:

• A labeled water bottle each day

• Sunscreen labeled

• Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes for outdoor play

We will also be planning special water play activities throughout the summer. Families will receive advance notice with details and any additional items needed for those days.

Summer Health & Safety Reminder: With increased outdoor activities and warmer weather, please remember to send your child dressed appropriately for the season and encourage them to stay hydrated. We will continue to prioritize hand-washing, healthy habits, and outdoor play opportunities while keeping children safe and comfortable throughout the day.
